Mycospring’s story is about people

It’s a story about a life-changing encounter between the founders, Rea Sofer and Ido Peres, and medicinal mushrooms.

Discovering the magic of mushrooms provided Rea and Ido with a personal, physical, and mental healing process, and changed the course of their lives.

Ido began his journey in the world of mushrooms about 15 years ago. In the wake of a medical event, he searched for a natural way to strengthen his immune system and protect his body. He was introduced to the world of medicinal mushrooms, including cordyceps, which completely transformed his condition.

From his personal experience, Ido began to closely study the subject, growing his own mushrooms, and making medicinal mushrooms his life’s mission, aiming to help people around the world to improve their physical and mental health and enhance their quality of life.

Over the years, Ido relocated to Vietnam, where he established greenhouses for growing and studying cordyceps and other mushrooms, gaining an excellent global reputation for researching mushrooms.

To this day, his global studies, encompassing Israel and the Far East, bring the word of mushroom magic to the entire world.

And across the globe, seven years ago, Mycospring’s co-founder Rea Soffer from Kibbutz Dafna, experienced a personal crisis dealing with physical/mental health challenges. He began looking for natural self-healing solutions near home.

There, in the forests of Northern Israel, he discovered mushroom magic. He picked up the art of gathering mushrooms and studying their effects on the body and mind.

Rea found unique mushroom varieties along the Galilee and Golan Height rivers and streams, which inspired him to dive into the wonder, heal himself, and share the message of hope with anyone wishing to improve their physical and mental pains.

Rea’s harrowing experience turned into a mission: to bring awareness to the wonder of mushrooms and convey a clear message of appreciating nature and its great circle of life. This biorhythm fosters the unique process whereby mushrooms can provide people with the ability to live better and healthier lives.

After becoming an expert mushroom gatherer, Rea wanted to expand his knowledge about medicinal mushrooms and their cultivation, which is how he became a student at Ido’s school. The special connection between Rea and Ido combines a true connection of nature, science, and humanity.

But above all, their encounter fused two similar philosophies into one shared vision: To spread the word about the rare properties of mushrooms, make their use accessible to anyone wishing to improve their quality of life, and remind us all how important it is to protect nature so that it can protect us back.
